A Moody Laundry Room Glow-Up with FrogTape

Let me tell y'all something-this laundry room was plain, flat, and lacked all the charm. But I had a

vision for something moodier, more intentional, and definitely more *me*. With the help of a little

paint, a few upgrades, and my go-to tool for clean lines-FrogTape-this space got a full-on glow-up.

Before the Makeover

This space had no character- just white walls, old appliances, and a basic setup

The Plan

My goal was to create a cozy, elevated laundry room using deep color, layered textures, and custom details. I chose Benjamin Moore Tarrytown Brown for the walls and ceiling to create a fully color-drenched effect that feels warm and luxe.

Where FrogTape Came In

FrogTape really helped me keep things looking sharp while working with bold paint. Here's how I used it throughout the project:

- Ceiling - I taped off edges using Multi-Surface to get a flawless line between wall and ceiling.

- Trim & Doors - I used Delicate Surface tape after painting the walls to protect the fresh finish.

- Cabinets & Outlets - I taped around small details to cut down on cleanup.

- Final Touches - The crisp paint lines around shelves and trim made everything feel professional.

The Transformation

This room went from blank to bold-with depth, texture, and that rich brown that ties it all together.

What I Love Most

- Matte brown cabinets with brass knobs

- White Marble folding counter and shelf

- Built-in laundry baskets

- A soft spotlight effect from recessed lighting

- The custom drying racks.

Final Thoughts

If you're thinking about going bold in a utility space, do it. You can still be functional and fabulous.

And don't skip the prep! Using FrogTape made this project so much smoother and gave me results I'm proud to share.
